Browser Storage Transparency

Cookie & Local Storage Policy

100% Tracking-Cookie-Free Website

DaySafe operates without advertising cookies, analytics beacons, marketing pixels, or third-party profiling scripts. We do not track you across the web.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by online service providers to facilitate session persistence, measure audience engagement, or deliver targeted advertising.

2. How DaySafe Handles Storage

Unlike many web applications, DaySafe does not set any cookies on your device.

Instead, this website uses the browser's standard HTML5 localStorage mechanism strictly for functional user convenience:

localStorage Key: "theme"
  • Purpose: Stores your selected visual appearance (Dark mode, Light mode, or System default) via the next-themes package.
  • Scope: Stored locally on your device only; never transmitted over the network to any server.
  • Duration: Persists until you toggle the theme again or clear your browser cache.

3. Why We Do Not Display an Annoying Cookie Banner

Under global data privacy laws including the European Union's ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC) and GDPR, websites that only use strictly necessary client-side storage for user-requested preferences (such as UI theme settings) and do not employ tracking, profiling, or analytical cookies are not required to display intrusive cookie consent banners.

We believe in respectful, friction-free software experiences for developers without superfluous modal interruptions.

4. Managing & Clearing Browser Storage

You maintain total control over your local browser storage. You can view or clear your stored theme preference at any time:

  • Google Chrome / Brave / Edge: Open Developer Tools (F12) → Application → Local Storage → Select https://daysafe.ajitdev.com → Clear.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Open Developer Tools (F12) → Storage → Local Storage → Clear.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences → Advanced → Show Develop menu → Web Inspector → Storage → Local Storage.
